The Latin Grammys celebrate their 25th anniversary in Miami, where stars like Bad Bunny, Karol G, and Peso Pluma are among the top nominees. The live awards show will be held at Miami's Kaseya Center on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET and broadcast on Univision, Galavisión, and ViX.
This year, Latin music icons will gather in Miami, a vibrant center of Latin American culture and home to the Latin Recording Academy. Édgar Barrera, a top nominee for the second consecutive year, joins artists such as Karol G and Bad Bunny, both of whom received awards at the 2023 Latin Grammys in Seville. Other prominent nominees include Kali Uchis, Juan Luis Guerra, Feid, Kany García, and Carin Leon.
Notable nominations for Recording of the Year include Camilo and Carín León’s "Una Vida Pasada" and Uchis and Peso Pluma’s "Igual Que Un Ángel," as reported by Variety. New categories have also been introduced, including Best Latin Electronic Music Performance and Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album, bringing the total to 58 award categories. Songs must feature lyrics that are at least 60% in Spanish, Portuguese, or a native dialect.
Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, highlighted the robust award process, with over 23,000 entries reviewed. He praised the Latin Grammys as an essential platform for Latin music and culture, celebrating a diverse group of international nominees who showcase the depth of Latin music.
