Eminem Makes Surprise Appearance at Kamala Harris Rally in Detroit

Eminem surprised the crowd at a Kamala Harris-Tim Walz rally in Detroit on Oct. 22 by introducing former President Barack Obama.

Taking the stage, Eminem, who has deep ties to Detroit, spoke about the importance of voting, especially with Michigan under the spotlight. "The city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me," he shared. "I think it's important to use your voice, so I’m encouraging everyone to vote."

The rapper also emphasized the importance of expressing opinions without fear, adding, "I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution for sharing their views."

After his remarks, Eminem applauded as Obama took the stage, a fitting moment for the Detroit-raised artist who’s always been proud of his roots.

In recent personal news, Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, and her husband Evan McClintock are expecting a baby boy. The family shared the news in a humorous way, giving Eminem a Detroit Lions jersey with "Grandpa" on the back, which initially puzzled him. As Hailie recounted on her podcast, he only understood once she showed him the ultrasound photo.

Once it clicked, Eminem was ready to wear his new grandpa jersey while watching the Lions game with family, fully embracing the exciting chapter ahead.
