At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Shakira clinched the Best Latin Pop Album award for her latest release, "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran." This marks her third win in this category and her fourth Grammy overall, underscoring her enduring influence in the music industry.

Competing against notable artists such as Anitta ("Funk Generation"), Kali Uchis ("Orquídeas"), Kany García ("García"), and Luis Fonsi ("El Viaje"), Shakira's victory highlights the album's significant impact. "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran," released on March 22, 2024, is her first studio album in seven years. The album delves into themes of personal growth and empowerment, reflecting her journey through recent life challenges.

In her acceptance speech, presented by Jennifer Lopez, Shakira dedicated the award to immigrants and hardworking women, referring to them as the "true She Wolves." She emphasized her commitment to supporting these communities, stating, "Siempre lucharé con vosotros" ("I will always fight with you").

The ceremony also featured a reunion between Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, marking their first public appearance together since their 2020 Super Bowl LIV Halftime performance. Shakira's sons, Milan and Sasha, were present in the audience, celebrating their mother's achievement.

"Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" has been lauded for its exploration of diverse musical genres and introspective lyrics. The album debuted at number one in Argentina and Spain, and topped the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart in the United States. It has been certified seven times platinum (Latin) by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Shakira's win at the 2025 Grammys not only celebrates her musical achievements but also underscores her role as a voice for marginalized communities, reinforcing her legacy as a global icon.
